This course is completely self-paced, no deadlines, no pressure, no one watching the clock. You study when it suits you and you go at whatever speed feels right. Here's how it all works

Work through all 10 online modules in your own time, at your own pace. There are no deadlines - you study when it suits you but we say to designated 1 hour per module.

Each module follows the same simple structure: watch the video, read through the written content, watch the online presentation, then complete a short quiz to check your understanding

Please don't feel like you have to watch each video all the way through in one go! Pause it, rewind it, practise what I've just shown you, then come back and carry on. That's exactly how this is designed to be used. Each video also has a PDF download.

The quizzes are there to help you consolidate your learning - not to catch you out. You can retake them as many times as you like and there's no time limit.

Once you've completed all the modules, make sure you download your course appendix from the final lesson. These are your clinical reference documents to keep and use in your practice.

If you are taking the online course your CPD Standards Office accredited certificate is issued once you have submitted your treatment videos and case study.

If you are taking the in-person course your FHT accredited certificate is issued after your in-person training days and once you have submitted your case study.

What You'll Need to Buy

You don't need to have everything ready before you start studying - honestly, just get stuck in and build your kit as you go. But here's what you'll want to have in place before you start working on clients:

Item Notes
Massage couch or treatment table Height-adjustable is important so you can work comfortably without straining
Fresh linen Clean linen for every client - this is non-negotiable
Unscented fascia balm (we recommend Songbird) Lymphatic drainage is a very light, skin-gliding technique - a simple balm (not oil) is required
Soft bolster or pillow For positioning - your clients will thank you!
Vibration ball A must have to mobilise lymph
Essential oil (we use NEOM de-stress) Nice to have for the diaphragmatic breaths, but not essential
Professional indemnity insurance You'll need this in place before you see clients - it's not included in your course fee, so make sure you sort this before you start practising

Before you begin, take a moment to set your intention for this training.

Consider why you chose this course and what you want to gain from it. This might be developing new skills, improving your confidence, expanding your treatment offering or deepening your understanding of the body.

Be clear on what you want to achieve and how you plan to apply what you learn.

This course will give you the tools, but your results will come from your level of engagement, practice and consistency.

Take a moment now to reflect:

  • What do I want to achieve from this course?
  • How will I apply this in my work?
  • What standard do I want to hold myself to as a practitioner?

Write this down or keep it in mind as you move through the training.
